Medical Scheduling Requests

We understand that life happens, usually when you least expect it. So, if you have a scheduling conflict for a game because of medical reasons, you can request special consideration for an early or late shotgun. The most common things we will schedule around are medical or dental appointments for yourself or family, but other medical reasons are also allowed. The Game Manager (or designee) will need to consider many other factors like team game balance, available playing spots and playing handicap, then will make the determination if your request can or will be honored.

PLEASE DO NOT send an email to a specific individual or reply to another previously received Duffer email…it probably won’t be seen.

PLEASE, DO use the Duffers Portal or the Golf Genius App to make changes to your signup status up until 9 p.m. the Friday before the Tuesday game (4 days ahead) or to make a medical scheduling request.

Duffer Portal Instructions

Log on using your Golf Genius email address and password.

Scroll to the game and date for which you wish to make the request. If the games are not listed, select the house symbol on the left side of the menu bar to return to the first page (splash page).

Check your status for the game in question. Select “Cancel Signup” to cancel from that game (remember the 4 days ahead deadline) 

or Select “Send Message to Manager” to send a scheduling request to that Game’s Manager (there is no deadline to send this message; however, sooner is better than later).

Golf Genius App Instructions

Load the Golf Genius app from your app store onto your phone, if not already loaded.

Open the app and log on using your Golf Genius email address and password. If you are in multiple clubs, Select “QC Duffers 2025” from the list.

Select “Member Portal” from the middle of the menu.

Select “Signup to Play” from the top of the menu. A calendar of games completed and all that are open for signup is displayed.

Find the date and game in question and check your status in the “Your Status” column. Your status can be toggled by selecting the “Change Status” link for the game in question.

To send a message, scroll the screen to show the right side of the table. Select the “More Info” link for the game in question.

At the bottom is the name and contact information for that Game’s Manager. Select the email address link (or copy and paste the address) to send an email to the manager (there is no deadline to send this message; however, sooner is better than later)

When making a medical scheduling request using either method, provide only the information needed as follows: the shotgun you are requesting, the effective date (mm/dd), the word “Medical”. Do not include any specific medical information or appointment times. For example:

Late SG, 01/21, Medical.

We will do our best to fulfill your request, if reasonable. Please ensure you receive an acknowledgement and approval email from us. Requests are approved at the sole discretion of Duffers management and are not guaranteed.

Weekend requests will be considered on a case by case basis and only if the Game Manager is notified by the contact phone number listed on the Tee Sheet or the game’s More info section on the Signup to Play page of the Portal. If conditions arise on Game Day causing your need to cancel, please call the Pro Shop, ‭520-393-5802,‬ at least 1 hour prior to your start time.
